I've been to many places for yum cha in the city, and they have all been of quite a high standard. I came here for lunch today with my team, and I was quite disappointed.
The place is very cramped, and we squeezed 13 of us on to 3 tables joined together. You don't get the usual yum cha trolleys being pushed around, and the service was less than great. We would just get food put on our tables, and our ticket stamped rather than being ASKED.
Table service was quite ordinary too, with plates and steamers piling up on our table, and when we did get food, it would always get dumped at one end of the tables, rather than distributed evenly.
The food itself was okay, but some of the dishes were really bland and some were served cold. We also found some hair in one of our desserts.
If you are looking to eat Yum Cha in the city, there are much better places down in chinatown.
