Empire Hotel

I probably wouldn't recommend this place, but when I stopped off here to grab a beer after arriving in Adelaide (and to check the place out since I have never been here before) I was surprised to run into an old friend from university. When I did arrive it was like 9:00 pm at night, which means that the front bar isn't open, but the gaming room is (and you can also sit out in the restaurant). It's not the flashiest of pubs, and it is certainly not a pub to visit if you don't live in the area, but I'm going to say that it wasn't all that bad (though after a certain hour it seems to only appeal to the gaming crowd). Like a lot of these suburban pubs they do have some cheap meals, and of course there is always the schnitzel, but other than glancing at the menu while waiting to be served I can’t say much more beyond that.

Thie evening was a good night, had the family over then went out to dinner at the Empire Hotel for my sister in laws birthday.

Parking was easy as the carpark was relatively empty, my wife and 2 kids went in the closest door, and were greeted by the gaming room. Oh well, we were in, so we walked through to the dining section where we were greeted with " Don't walk through there again with your kids, it will be a huge fine!"
