Empowered Kids

Empowered Kids provides a mobile occupational therapy service for children, families and schools in the Gold Coast/Northern NSW area.

Assessment and therapy can be provided at home, school, daycare or after school care. Therapy location is flexible to meets the needs of families.

We support children, parents and teaching staff by providing education, and developing skills and strategies to overcome any challenges that prevent a child from reaching their potential at school, socially or at home.

Paediatric OT?s have specialised skills to identify the underlying factors contributing to the challenges a child experiences with their development, learning, performance, and behaviour.

We work within a developmental framework and believe that it is important for foundation skills to be well established, in order for further skill development to occur effectively. We encourage kids to adopt a growth mindset and believe in neuroplasticity (the brain has the ability to change and the mind is a powerful tool) and use these concepts as a basis for our therapy.
