With loss of refrigerant in my Audi and asked to put a dye refrigerant in to determine the leak. They removed grill saw some oil on the seam of the condenser and assumed it was leaking. In fact on close inspection the leak came from the pressure transducer. The condenser was quoted at $800 plus fitting, the transducer cost $65 and a regas $150. They charged me $100 for the quick guess of what was wrong and to prepare a quote. I would not go there again if I did not exactly know the problem as I have no confidence in their ability to fault find. A low end repairer at best.
I picked them based on their online reviews and convenient location. They charge approx $300-1000 for log book service. Had the car serviced prior to big ULURU trip which I clearly informed them about. They had failed to identify the following items which we ran into issues with on our trip.
1) radiator cap, lead to coolant overflow and radiator ran out of coolant on our way to destination.
2) failed to identify worn suspension bushes
know how to charge, but missing such basic items is not acceptable. Not going back there ever again, I dont trust them anymore.
Upon closer inspection, another fault was picked up. They had not attached the intake snorkle onto the throttle body properly, folded bit of the rubber from the snorkle back and tighten. Clear signs that there was leak there as i can see signs of dust. Car would have been unnecessarily leaner due to the leak. I am sure it was them because they changed the drive belts before the trip, and had to remove the intake snorkle in order to get to it.
