Coffee catchups with a view, why not come here to Esca! Great location, excellent and friendly staff, great coffee and delicious food too if you want more than just coffee! Unfortunately this trip entailed just coffee but I have eaten here a while ago and I recall it being really good. I think I am overdue so next time I tee up a catch up with friends I'll probably suggest this place! ;)
I went here with 14 other people for lunch and the food was very bland and boring and the staff did not even apologise or offer us more bread. The crispy skin duck was tough and no crispy skin in sight. Very disappointing - the best thing about this restaurant is the view - it stops you looking at the food! Will not go back nor recommend to anyone - lots of other much nicer restaurants to spend my money in. When paying this much for a main you expect perfection - this was far from it.
We went there Friday night and had the worst possible service, not only did the waitress mix up our order completely, she even had the nerve to ask us if we would still eat it without worrying about our original order. Not even so much as an apology. They rave about good service but we have had better. We spoke to the Manager on the night and didn't even get an apology, all he said was that there was nothing he could do. Adelaide is too small to be treating customers like that. I give them 12mths tops. Word of mouth is a very powerful too..
We were invited to Esca for a birthday celebration function. The food served was absolutely fantastic, drinks service was great and we had a great time. - They showed they can provide top quality food for a large number of people, so we are definitely going back for a dinner for two. Thanks for a great night out.
