It was a beautiful Sunday and we decided to pop into Essence Coffee Lounge up at Alexandra for a quick coffee session. It was a small cosy cafe which also offers seating in the front outside and at the back outside. Not much cake and sweet selection but they do offer a menu to order breakfast or lunch. Our coffee orders came out nice and hot and we enjoyed every bit of it. What was meant to be a normal visit turned out to be more than what we expected. My mother-in law left her handbag behind without realising. Back to Melbourne already, a 3hr drive she then realised. We called the cafe and yes to our surprised they knew who we were and said they handed it in to the police department. In most cases when everyone loses their personal belonging, the immediate thought is that they will never see it again. So after making the trip back up another 6hrs road trip all for a handbag, we picked it up in the same condition and everything was still in it, nothing missing. ...read more
