The Essendon Day Procedure Centre provides specialised care for patients who have problem wisdom teeth, facial pain and misaligned jaws. The accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons also treat accident victims, suffering facial injuries, they offer reconstructive and dental implant surgery and care for patients with tumours and cysts of the mouth. The facility is state of the art and consists of 2 consulting suites, 1 operating theatre with 6 bed/chair recovery room. Procedures are completed using either local anaesthetic or local with sedation. Your surgeon will advise which is best suited to you. In 2013 the Essendon Day Procedure Centre was the first healthcare facility of all private and public inpatient and day procedure centres in Australia to be certified against the National Safety and Quality Healthcare Standards. The centre has also successful achieved accreditation against ISO 900: 2008 since opening in 1998. During this time than 45,000 patients have been cared for by us. All our surgeons and registered nurses are qualified and are registered with AHPRA. Internal and external audits are completed regularly. There have been no reported post operative infections from the centre since 2013. The centre is registered with the DHS and has health fund contracts with most private health insurers including DVA.
