My first cinema experience in Brisbane. Seats felt very close together, but they were comfortable and leaned back slightly. There's a big concession area but I didn't have a chance to look at prices/selection. There are lots of arcade games, too. I've had better cinema experiences, but the location can't be beat.
Okay, this is basically a cinema complex, and one of the mainstream ones at that. Still, when I first came here years ago I was pretty amazed to discover this cinema complex on top of an inner-city shopping complex (we didn't have one in Adelaide, but I have since moved to Melbourne and, well, he have the Hoyts Cinema in Melbourne Central). Still, it was pretty cool as it tended to be quite close to where I was staying. Actually, having a cinema in the middle of the city is actually quite useful, as I've discovered in my wanderings. On my last visit I even discovered that they had a bar and that you could take alcohol into a couple of the cinemas, which is something that you don't come across all that often (usually you have to drink the beer out in the lobby).
