We use Event Cinemas function room for our group monthly meetings and have had good service and always willing to help and assist as needed....plus delicious danishes they provide are always a hit.
On the movie front, never had a problem with the cinemas. But as with most of the Event Cinema locations the prices are quite expensive, so signing up to Cinebuzz is a good option if you like a deal every now and then for heading to the movies.
My Family, Friends and I STOPPED going to Event Cinema. Have you ever tried other cinemas just for $8 for adult and around $4 for concessions, pensioners, students...etc??!!
How about Event Cinemas?! Event Cinemas in Chermside charge you around $21-$25 or even more and just 2-$3 discount for concessions, pensioner...etc which is around $18 which means in a standard rate you pay around minimum $13 more to get WHAT?!
Even They charge you much more for IMAX cinemas which is NOT a REAL IMAX!!! It is just a normal wide screen NOT iMAX....IMAX is curved huge wide screen vertically & horizontally....
I live around Chermside but It does worth drive to go elsewhere to enjoy & watch a movie over a free parking, fair ticket price and FRIENDLY staff :)
A lovely place to escape to the movies. The staff are friendly but don't offer the cheapest options for viewing choices. If you have spare cash and want to see movies in style, this is the place. The cinemas are clean and well presented and you get the best selection of movies here.
