Event Cinemas

Great service, lovely cinemas. Unfortunately will not be going back though ... took our two children in as a treat and on the screen (upcoming movies) was a preview for the movie sex tape at just after 9 in the morning ... slack! Was really disappointed with that. If you must show such trash, why not keep it to after at least 8pm or something ... I had to tell my kids not to look at the tv. How pitiful ... now the foyers are not even G rated anymore :(

Came in school hols. We were camping in the area and as the weather was a bit up and down we thought we would busy our girls with a movie- Mr Peabody.

Cost $47 for a family of 4. We usually pay $38 for family ticket at our local event cinema. The cinema was almost empty which was great but what let it down was the presentation, there was popcorn & rubbish scattered all over the place. We had to remove rubbish from our seats before we could sit down. Very disappointing.

Popped in on a weekday to catch a movie at the Coolangatta cinemas. They're a really older style cinema complex. Tickets are pretty much $10.50 at all times which is great. And it's a lot quieter, a lot less busy than other cinema complexes on the coast. They still have a good size Candy Bar too.
