I had a poor experience at Events Cinema George Street, Sydney, on Sunday 4 December 2022. Tickets for Gold Class were $44.00 each and two were purchased, totalling $88.00. There are three key problems:
(1) There was an additional booking fee of around $6.00 for the two tickets (we used gift vouchers). Given the high ticket price, this is unreasonable.

Not a fan of this place and will only go if I have no choice.
Customer service here is prompt but not friendly and there are always huge lines, plus if you come during school holidays prepare to be surrounding by annoying teeny-boppers who will ruin the movie for you by talking ad trying to act “cool”. You’re not impressing anyone mate.
It’s also pretty messy at times and they charge like $6 for a bottle of water. Seriously lol?
This cinema is in a perfect location with the CBD.
Never have to wait too long to buy your tickets and the staff are super friendly.
Their cinemas are quite large and every time I’ve been they have always been clean.
It's awesome having the bar inside along with the other adjoining restaurants and arcade place as well.
