I went for a facial here last weekend which was a gift and as part of that they did a waxing of my eyebrows which I didn't ask for and, to be honest, didn't need. Over the next few days the area starts going red which I thought was a break out but then it started swelling and I find out I have a bacterial infection which apparently is a very common side effect of waxing where unhygenic conditions exist or where paddles are redipped in wax. My face is now swollen to such an extent that it is closing my eye. I messaged them on Friday telling them about this and they said they'd ring me back but they didn't. I then messaged them on Saturday saying they hadn't called me back and they messaged saying they had been busy (seriously!) and would call me soon. My wife treated me to a gift voucher and at first I was a little apprehensive. But I must say that from the second I walked through the reception I was made feel welcome and relaxed. The service was amazing and all the staff were professional and accomodating. As a result I am now a regular customer at Face of Man and my skin thanks me for it every day!
Terrible service during the Sydney siege where they decided to keep their cancellation policy in place and destroyed my birthday present. The police say stay away, the airspace is closed, and the trains have stopped but the management think its okay because they took a look outside. This is unreasonable and dangerous to advise clients that it's okay when they do not have the capacity to encourage clients to come to the city. Poor form.
