Fairy Park
2388 Ballan Rd
Anakie, VIC, 3213
Fairy Park is a good day out with the family. My toddler enjoyed it a lot, particularly the Camelot playground. However, it is quite outdated so I'm not sure that older children would enjoy it as much. It is also a little pricey when you have to pay for a whole family (luckily our daughter was just under 3 at the time so was free).
A friend told me that you can get cheaper family passes online from places like Scoopon though.
My daughter keeps asking to go back so we will go back again as she really enjoyed it.
Over the years this park has deteriorated badly and instead of improving and actually maintaining it their solution is to either block it off or cover/board it up. Half of the features/exhibits don't work or work very poorly. It is a very disappointing experience especially since I have been here as a child and they had so much more to offer like electric cars. It is overpriced for what it actually has to offer and it didn't keep my 4 year old entertained except for the playground which in all honestly I could had saved $24 and went to a free playground. If actual improvements were made this would be a nice place to go but sadly I won't be going back there until some changes happen.
My children adore Fairy Park and we visit every holiday although the park is looking a little tired and could do with some TLC. I noticed that one of the areas was getting a makeover and maybe this will be the start of a full overhaul.. The play area is by far the best I have seen in a long time and this is the area where my children spend the most time.
It does sadden me however to have to say that the customer service in the cafe leaves a lot to be desired and in fact my last visit I encountered a very rude staff member. I have subsequently written to the park and expressed my concerns but I have yet to receive a response.
So my advice take a picnic and you will have lots of fun for sure!
