I am an educator in new norfolk providing care in my home. I am registered with the valley children's centre and have my certificate III in Children's Services, Police Safety Check and Workplace Level II First Aid, including Asthma and Anaphylaxis. I have vacant positions on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. My Family Day Care is strictly about providing a secure, safe, warm, fun and loving environment for your child, enabling them to have a sense of belonging. Your child will be valued and respected as if they were one of my own.
The activities provided will instil self esteem, confidence and help develop their social and physical skills. They will also be given adequate free playtime and naps. There are a variety of toys, craft material, puzzles and equipment etc. for your child to choose from. Part of our daily routine is attending regular playgroup sessions every week at various locations. They generally run for 1½ hours in the morning. There are opportunities for them to explore their creativity, learn to share, and communicate with others. There is also a variety of equipment etc, to enhance their gross motor skills. At both playgroups we have a time to eat together. There is singing, dancing and reading.
I have a portfolio of each child on hand for parents to view, that contains pictures of their children and the outcomes they meet in compliance with the EYLF (Early Years Learning Framework). I also have a main book which contains the curriculum, photos, outcomes, principles/practices, reflection and "where to next" information which will be on display. ...read more
