Took my car here for a viv test ,yes it was a hard task but the rules are set by Vic roads not by Niscare,we need to remember that our lives are in their hands ,every time I had a query I rang for information and believe me there were a few calls made ,not once was I turned away or discouraged by anyone,my calls were all answered clearly and curtiously,at the end of the day I drove out of there knowing that my car was safe, the problems I had were from suppliers not from Niscare or Vic roads if your not sure ask. Thank you Alex and Marny
Had a VIV inspection at these clowns. They are operating a rorte. They pick up on non sensical rubbish to ensure you fail and have to go back for seconds to sting you for the inspection fee.
Things like a scuff on the plastic grill or scuff mark on the dash.
Thieves.
Hi
Thanks for your feedback. Glad you took the time to point out some major factors in the VIV scheme. As we are bound by the RULES & REGULATIONS under the scheme we are not the decider in what is and what isn't relevant to the VIV process. When you book your vehicle in on the VicRoads webpage there is a customer checklist for you to read. Point in case is #5 which clearly states 5. "All cosmetic damage in damage coded areas (including minor superficial scratches and scuffs) have been repaired to manufacturer's specifications.". This as per your comment was not done. We totally understand your statement, however, we cannot bend and flex the rules to suit the consumer. The VIV is not the same as having your vehicle repaired under your instructions. VicRoads sets the rules and the pricing - we have to follow this, as this is our obligation. Had you reached out to us instead of venting your frustations on social media we could have helped you through the process.
I recently went through Niscare for my first VIV on my bike. My tip - be fastidious in prep. If Alex faults it, listen to what he says (he really knows his stuff), fix the faults, and you'll get through when you come back. Listen and learn from an expert. I did and it flew rhrough. Thanks Niscare!
This company is nothing short of disgusting. I took my car here to get a VIV, the staff doesn't know how to measure a wheel base or an engine bay. We had to adjust our car so that now it is technically unroadworthy to meet their requirements. Everyone knows an engine bay is measured only from structural points and a wheel base is from the center to the center of the wheels... come on guys do your job properly. Avoid these rude and incompetent 'mechanics'.
