Featherdale Wildlife Park is a great place to learn about and see native Australian animals.
The absolute best thing about Featherdale Wildlife Park is that you can get up and close with the animals for FREE!! Here you don't have to pay to pet and take a photo with a koala or feed any of the animals. I was able to pet koalas, quokkas, wallabies, emus, echidnas, wombats and a bilby! The shows are very personal and educational, plus entry price is easy on the wallet! I highly recommend Featherdale Wildlife park as a wonderful day out with family or friends.
One of the best zoos I've ever been to, hands down. It's an amazing experience getting up close and personal with wallabies, kangaroos, emus, wombats, dingoes, and especially the koalas. It's a little out of the way (Taronga is great too and it's conveniently located in the city) but Featherdale is well set-up and even lets you buy grains to hand-feed the animals. I have fantastic memories and terrific pictures from my day at Featherdale.
