feltART is felt art'feltArt' is the business of feltmaker and artist Sangit Tafelmaier, located in QLD near Cairns. 100 % Australian merino wool is turned into attractive felt item, wearable art and art-for-walls. Felting is an ancient technique, rediscovered for modern tastes. This feltmaker uses the softest merino wool that you can get, dyed in brilliant colours and often felted together with silk fabric.
You can buy Sangit Tafelmaiers 'felt' in gallery shops around the Cairns area, at the Port Douglas markets and on-line.
She also teaches feltmaking workshops and classes for adults and kids.
