Fernwood Fitness

I've been going to this gym for a few years now and just love the atmosphere. The staff are always so friendly and greet you when you walk in. They recently became 24/7 which is so much more convenient as you can go whenver you have time whether it be 4 in the morining or 11 at night. They always have classes running and have personal trainers and food coaches available for you. It is a bit more expensive than some other gyms but it's worth it for what you get. All the equipment is kept nice and it is always so clean and fresh. (love the scented candles they burn to make it smell nice).

I have just cancelled my membership as I have an injury but my Doctors and Physio said I could return to exercise. I returned to the gym this morning, however I was told I could not gain entry without a Medical Certificate. I agreed with this, as it was a sensible suggestion. I asked if my fees could be refunded or reduced until medical clearance could be given and the gym stated this was not possible and no other compromise was offered. I cancelled my membership as I thought it was unreasonable I can be charged for a service I cannot access. It was the lack of helpful customer service that was annoying. I rang the NSW Department of Fair Trading and they stated gyms often cover themselves in their initial terms and conditions. Please be careful when signing up with any gym.

Really, really good place to train. The staff are so professional, so much support to get fit and nothing like Fitness first! Got sucked in to training at Firtness First 2 years ago, by a dodgy sales rep. Was so ripped off, once they lie to get your signiture on the contract they don't care! Not fernwood.... Fernwood offer so much variety in there programs and care all the way through. I don't have much time to train (as I work late hours in the city) but when I do have time I love coming here having a chat and getting down and dirty. I feel great after and am really starting to see fantastic results!
