Fiona childcare is the most horrible childcare centre i have ever seen.
Ratios for children are always off becuase they dont have enough staff in the centre. The centre is dirty and management don't welcome you by saying hello when you walk in the door and he is rude when you do speak to him. The children are never provided with toys and there outside area has nothing in it for the chikdren to play with.
My two children attend this centre and have done for a year and a half. While I agree there was a rocky patch at the centre for a very short period, I myself have never witnessed any such behaviour from the staff and found that the management have acted swiftly in addressing concerns and issues and the service is all the better for it. I have been to other services prior to Fiona Childcare, and have found that it can be suggested inevitable, that a service will go through staffing issues but will only come out positive by the way in which the management handles the concerns or issues.
My two children love going each day and my youngest is very standoffish and it took no time for her to feel comfortable and welcome and now never wants ...read more
My child has been in Fiona for 3 weeks, before we went somewhere else. This was the first centre he has ever been to. It is very upset for us and sad for Fiona that we had to leave after the initial 3 weeks, because of the poor professionalism of the staff and the centre. I am a teacher myself, and I know how important teacher's duty of care is. There were very often when my wife went to pick up my child and she couldn't see any staff, till she went around the corner of the room see the staff is using her computer, this has happened quite a lot within the 3 weeks we were there. There has been one time, that we saw two boys were fighting onto the floor, near the door, when we walked in, there wasn't.'t any staff were aware of it. Sometimes we were asking our self, if we take our child home without telling the staff will she even noticed?! In comparison to the centre we are in now, we felt that staff from Fiona were not friendly to children enough. My child first went to Fiona ...read more
I have to say that upon posting on the review, the centre management acted quickly to ask for more detail about my experience and was very serious about my experience. I have been told and also read about other parents review that the centre might have gone through a rough time, in which the case my child was in it, but the centre has improved in last 6 months, and from what the centre management told me I can feel that the management team is caring for their children and care about each parents' feedback, which I found really pleasing. She also promised me to have a PD for their staff and should this never happend again. I did try to take the feedback off truelocal, but I couldn't, so I would like to suggest that even my experience wasn't good enough, but I believe the centre has gone through a change, and is in a much better shape. My story only remains in the past, so if you are thinking about sending your child to Fiona, I think you should give a try!
