About:

Fire Safety Australia was established in mid 2014 as a consultancy firm that provides compliance with Essential Safety Measures regulations specifically the Building Regulations 2006 Part 12.

Each building owner or building manager within Victoria (excluding building Classes 1a & 10 as define in the BCA Vol 1) is required to maintain the life/fire safety equipment and fittings within their building which are referred to as Essential Safety Measures at a level that allows them to fulfill their purpose.

To ensure this is being conducted the State Government requires that a document known as the Annual Essential Safety Measures Report be prepared annually on the anniversary date of the Certificate of Occupancy Permit or Final Inspection. Fire Safety Australia can prepare this document annually ensuring that you as a building owner or building manager is compliant with the State government regulations.


Qualifications & Experience:

Experience with some of the largest and well known buildings within Melbourne including sporting grounds, schools, hospitals, aged care facilities, high rise office building & large industrial complexes.


Services:

Preparation of the Annual Essential Safety Measures Report.

Quarterly inspection of Means of Egress.

Annual inspection of Passive fire systems e.g. fire compartmentation and separation.

Technical advice on Active fire systems e.g. fire sprinkler, hydrants, hose reel systems, fire detection & warning systems and emergency lighting.

Technical advice of the Building Act 1993, Building Regulations 2006, Building Code of Australia and Australian Standards relating to maintenance of fire systems.

Online access whereby the building owner can manage the maintenance of each of their buildings Essential Safety Measures requirements and on an annual basis automatically have a copy of the Annual Essential Safety Measures Report repaired through the online application.
