First Floor

First Floor opened in 1998 and has continued to offer excellent and friendly service with a menu to match. The restaurant offers both function and a-la-carte menus filled with fresh seafood, creative meat dishes like wild mushroom and roasted duck risotto or pan fried Quail with fennal salt, served on sautéed pear, baby spinach and toasted almonds. Vegetarian dishes and other mains catered for specific dietary requirements are also available. First Floors offers lunch Tuesday to Friday until 2pm, and dinner from 6pm, Monday to Saturday.

The menu is okay, but lacks real diverstity of flavour - it is all very passe to my impression.

I stopped in for lunch, needing to get back to work by 1:30. The slow service meant that I both didn't get to finish my pasta and I still got back to my meeting a bit late.
The food was decent though, just not very timely.

It justn't get things right. The food is stated in menu quite well, though upon ordering you see that it doesn't come together very well, or is very simplistic, compared to the description. With some more trining on floor and in the kitchen, they might get there.
