Very very poor service.
I rented a property through first national in marrickville and as it turned out the property was owned by the owner of first national Marrickville, the owner was constantly turning up at the house, peering over the fence and on one occasion entered the backyard of the premises when he thuogh we were out.
To make matters worse, when we left the property, first national did not want to let our bond be releases and wanted to charge us $300 for one garage remote control and $250 to clean the top of 3 ceiling fans. Fair trading actually released our bond, however First National have now decided to try to take money out the overpaid rent that we paid, which is illegal under Section 33 of the Residential Tenency Act (they should know that this is illegal).
I wouldnt recommed these guys at all, there are lots of honest estate agents out there that could be used instead.
Very poor communication and total incompetence with managing property. Witnessed a so-called inspection by an agent which was nothing more than the tenant complaining. Incompetent, took 9 months to undertake urgent repairs, they provided lame excuses on behalf of agent instead of acknowledging responsibility & instead further delays to repairs. As a result rent could not be increased to market value as agreed in contract. Unprofessional comments when I took my business elsewhere. A disgrace to the profession.
Great communication and great service. I've recently leased my property with there property manager, Fernando and there leasing consultant, Lauren and there were no issues, as a matter of fact they found a great tenant in 3 days and at a fantastic price. Will recommend Fernando to everyone I know, as he is truly a diamond in the sky.
Coped shocking behaviour from a First National agent when visiting an open house because I 'dared' to point out something unsafe I'd noticed. It was completely left of field as I had tried to be polite about it. It left me speechless. I would never, never tolerate such behaviour from my agent if I was the vendor. This does nothing but limit the buyers for the house and potentially lower the final sale price. I would not recommend selling your house with this real estate agent!
