Fitness First
I don't understand how this gym is a platinum fitness first! There are two floors, ground floor for all cv equipment and a very small sledge pull area. Upstairs they have free weights, pin weights, squat racks and a stretching sit up area. The mens changing room is upstairs right at the back, so you have to walk through the whole gym to get there. The gym is small and everything seems to be cramped in, the equipment isn't on par to other platinum gyms in the city.
Definitely not the best Fitness First I've visited... There are two group fitness studios (plus a spin studio). The main, larger, studio has a wooden floor and mirrors along one side and the back (but not down the front). Personally I like mirrors at the front so I can check my technique whilst I work out so this was a con for me. There were also poles in the room which obstructed vision and movement. The second, smaller, studio was quite nice. I believe it is more set up for mind-body programs and had a nice relaxed atmosphere. Bathrooms were nice and large. General gym seems well equipped and reception staff friendly. Be sure to double check opening hours- it seems to only open for a brief period on Sunday.
