I was really impressed with this Fitness First. I has a very contemporary feel and is in mint condition (I believe it has recently been upgraded?). It is spread across different areas so there are different zones for different activities. This is good thing, it means if you want to stretch you don't need to be doing it right next to someone sweating it out on the treadmill! The staff are super nice. When I visited they asked if it was my first time at the facility and then gave me a tour. One of the best Fitness First experiences I have ever had.
Gorgeous gym, horrible staff experience.. went in to try the gym with a pass I printed out, they said since I was not signing up for a monthly pass I couldn't try the gym. I assured them that I would be back throughout my time in Sydney with drop in visits, but condescendingly "said we're trying to run a business" turned their backs . Thousands of dollars coming to Sydney, of course I can afford $22, but it's about good client relations and good customer service.. Ill take my business elsewhere..
the staff are great, and there is plenty of cardio machines. however if your joining for classes think again, they are often over crowded and other members can be rude and push you out of the way for a place in one, I've seen several people walk out because there simply wasn't enough space or equipment to go around.
Cardio heaven! So many elliptical trainers, treadmills, stationary bikes, rowers, etc, that even at lunchtimes and other busy times, you'll probably still be able to get a machine. Also boasts good views over Darling Harbour, and the high-glass windows and corner location make for a very open-feeling gym. Recommended.
