Fitness First

Over crowded. Hard to park. Culture of reserving machines, sometimes up to 3 at a time with towels and bottles. Management don't care. Forget it!

I have to say having a swimming pool almost at my doorstep was the main reason I joined this club but I have come to appreciate everything else from the friendly and hard working staff at reception to the endless variety of equipment available. The change rooms are clean and new looking and I love the steam room. I haven't tried the classes as they are not my thing but they certainly look energetic. If you are unsure about joining a gym try their one visit for free pass like I did. That way you can you see exactly what you are getting. I haven't tried any of the other Fitness First clubs apart from Sylvania but I have been very satisfied so far with the experience.

The equipment is fairly new and we love the pool. Sometimes it can get a bid crowded and parking might be hard due to the shopping center being so close. It was hard to get out of our membership and where only able to transfer it to someone in order to avoid being fined, so make sure it is what you want before you sign up!

I think this Fitness First is actually a fair bit better than the rest. I love the boxing area, it has a pool which I don't use so can't review. The classes are good and plentiful. Plenty of weights and though like many Fitness Firsts, gets extremely busy, you get what you pay for and generally better than average :)
