Flagstaff Hotel

Hi I would like to put a great customer service received for Tammi on Tuesday at lunch time. Not only was she able to provide a smile when taking our orders she also was able to separate the bill so 5 of us could get the discount from the entertainment book. Normally the total of the bills would get the discount and then we would have to pay the people who paid. Not in this case. By having that service provided our whole table got the discount. All 14 of us. Well done Tammi

Shocking service.. I would not recomend this place to anyone. The girls behind the bar were rude and unhelpful. Rethink before you attend this hotel. Very poor service

Seriously, there isn't all that much about this place that really stands out, yet for some reason I have found that I have frequented this place more often than not. It probably has a lot to do with my friend having lived around here once and we would always walk down here for a couple of beers (meaning I would buy him one). However, there is one thing that I really do like,and that is the balcony off from the pokies room because it has a nice view of the creek that runs by and has quite a natural feel about it, so despite the fact that there are pokies on the other side of the door, I still quite enjoy sitting out here on the balcony having a yarn with my friend. However, everytime I have been here it has only been on that one balcony. I have stayed away from the sports bar, and never had the need to check out the restaurant.

I dont usually complain but as my first experience at the flagstaff I thought from the looks of it the hotel the food would be fantastic. I got the seafood platter and my partner got a chicken parmy. The seafood was good but my "crispy" chips were undercooked, soggy, not hot and no seasoning the same with my partners chips. It was like something out of a fish and chip shop not a restaurant. And my partners chicken parmy was pretty average. The cheese tasted cheap as and flavourless and the schnitzle was soggy as if it hadnt been drained from the oil properly. I dont no if youll read this but if people are going to spend $20-$30 on meals at your hotel you might want to step up your game or lower your prices. But definately not the best food down south.

Upon ordering our meals the salad bar was nice. The service was not friendly when asking for more bread rolls. Our garlic bread was mouldy.
One of our tartar sauces had parmasen cheese on it, the chips were stone cold & the grilled fish tasted yuck.
Battered fish was good.
Risotto dry in texture, steak cooked well. The potato skins said was 3 but only served 2 they were soggy over cooked.
The roast potatoes on salad bar and mini carrots were yum.
Would not recommend after this experience!
