Flat White Cafe

This is another of those places where the name caught my attention, despite the fact that I can't actually drink flat whites (so I decided to go for a long black instead). It's a small little cafe hidden away in Paddington (though I'm not sure if I can call it the back streets, but then again I am not hugely familiar with the area) that I encountered as I was walking past. Despite its name they don't just sell coffee, they also have snacks and freshly squeezed juice as well. Okay the place was surprisingly crowded when I was here, but maybe it had something to do with it being lunch time. Okay, I'd probably not frequent this place all too regularly, particularly considering its location, but I wouldn't be adverse to coming here again.

Really good food. Had an interesting experience. Always packed on the weekend- a bit of a hub. Lots of dogs visit too! Once, whilst waiting for a table they have us some coffee in the porcelains mugs. A nice gesture but felt kind of awkward holding a cup and saucer on the curb of the road.

Minimal outdoor seating, mostly indoor. Neighbourhood parking only.

The quintessential local cafe. Friendly, casual and consistently good food & coffee. Service can get a little slow during busy periods, but you can see the staff working hard to prepare your order. Flat White is the sort of place that makes a neighbourhood a great place to live.
