This place is truly stuck in the past. Everywhere you look there are golliwog dolls sitting on shelves or sitting in display cabinets. They even have little statues of 'black-face' (big red lips and all) style busts holding out their hands.
Unfortunately we only saw these products after we had eaten, otherwise they wouldn't have gotten my money. Their food is standard cafe fare with a bonus burnt coffee.
The staff seemed rather rude and one staff member in particular seemed to go out of their way to frown at us and ignore us.
Don't bother stopping here, there are much better "antique" shops and cafes just down the road.
I have visited this place a couple of times before and returned a couple of weeks ago on the weekend. We were taken back a bit when I entered with my mother and sister, as we scouted the room for a suitable table. The staff asked us how many a table, to which I promtly responded for "4 please", and staff said "Ladies I can't help you if you don't talk to me". My mother, quickly responded "she said 4".
