Picture a local Mexican house with an open kitchen with the neighbourhood coming together to enjoy a mother's cooking. It's warm and relaxed and the food is fresh, local and cooked with love. This is what the word "Fonda" means and is what Fonda Mexican Restaurant embodies to the fullest. Come and join us - "My house, your house," Mi Casa Su Casa!

Came here for a team lunch on a Tuesday. It was still busy and also recommend bookings for a large group. We ordered multiple small dishes to share between us. The food was fresh and had a good balance of flavours. There was a couple of us that had dietary requirements and staff was happy to accomodate and ammend the menu.
This is best described as 'trendy fast food' there is no flexibility or creativity to the dishes, the service is quite poor and our meals were slow to come out. The food was ok. They try to hold customers at the door even when there are empty tables to give and illusion that the place is more popular than it is. The decor is interesting and earns an extra star.
This place is extremely trendy and has a great set up/decor. I wasn't loving the order at the bar service however as it makes it a touch more casual than what the pricing deems this place to be. It is no Mama Sita's although the ingredients are quite fresh. The portion sizes of the tacos could be better. I really enjoyed the beef salad that I got however and the mocktails, although very sweet are quite tasty and refreshing. Fonda is a decent place to go for lunch if you work in the area or if you want a quick bite before your movie at Kino cinemas which is ideally located just across the road.
