Loved it. The best pizza I've tasted in a long time. Worth every penny.

I feel as though other reviews are seriously misguided! I've been here only twice (dining in, I've gotten takeaway about 5 times) but both times it was a great dining experience. The pizza was delicious and the 'papalina' pasta (what I've always known to be boscaiola) is the best I've ever had, speaking from experience that other Italian restaurants find it hard to master a simple cream based pasta dish with it often being too watery or bland. Fonzirellis was spot on. Also reasonably priced and large meals. Yum. I think they deserve a better review than what they currently have.

I have been a regular (once a month) customer at Fonzirelli for 5 years. My partner has been a regular customer for over 8 years. They know who I am, I always say hello when I see them which is most visits and have often left them some wine. Saturday 18th Jan' 2014 ordered pizza's by phone, they said pick up in 25 mins. Arrived on time to find a long line at the single register with the long time staffer clearly in no hurry to "get things moving". Either too stupid to read the situation or just didn't care- I think the latter.It was clear to me at that pace it was going to take 15-20 mins to pick up our pizzas which I could see sitting in the boxes above the oven. And no, that won't keep them hot enough and yes they would taste like cardboard as a result. My hubby & I came here on a Friday night and it was about a third full of patrons so we thought we'll try it out. Big mistake! From the moment our waiter took our order I had a feeling that this was going to be a very ordinary experience at best but it was worse than that! My hubby asked for a pasta dish to have extra garlic but the cook made it without garlic as the waiter told us that's what we ordered and proceeded to give us a 'fed-up' look when we kindly whispered to them that there was no garlic at all in it. My pizza was dry and tasteless so I only ate one slice before giving up. Hubby had only eaten the prawns in his pasta and didn't bother with the rest because it was just ruthlessly bland even without the garlic. We promised we'd never go back there & we haven't - this was 1 year ago.
