I know everyone thinks their local is the best place around, but this really is! My family and I have been going to this chinese restaurant for years. The food has always been fantastic. The staff are friendly and the owner is quite happy to come over and have a chat with us to see how the meal was and how we have been since our last visit. I have lived in other suburbs around the northern suburbs but have never found a local chinese restaurant anywhere that has such great, fresh food. I am quite happy to travel for a treat! We go up there for most birthdays or just when we want to enjoy great take away that doesn't feel or taste like plastic or been sitting in warmers as some of the commercialised places. Do yourself a favour!
My barbershop chorus sings at all the Stirling City naturalization ceremonies, and it is too late when we finish for me to cook myself a meal, so I call in at Foo Hua on my way home.
As a regular visitor, they know to direct me to a table for one, and bring me a pot of Chinese jasmin tea, while I'm browsing through their menu.
I try to choose something different each time, and they have never failed to provide me with a generous helping of delicious food.
One thing I like about their cooking is that it is healthy fast food because there is no deep-frying involved, as deep frying creates trans-fatty acids.
The staff are very pleasant.
We moved up this way and needed to find a great chinese. it may have just been a bad day in their kitchen but i wasnt going to risk our health or money trying it again incase it wasnt, it was a group of us and we ordered take away. we had dishes like sizzling beef. but when we got it home the beef wasnt even sealed in places and completed raw in parts. Scared we would get sick we ended up stirfrying the dishes to make sure it was cooked. we joke about it being called FOOd HUAlf cooked, But i wouldnt risk trying it again.
