Foodland

It seems no-one told this store that what you should expect from small country grocery stores are high prices, limited stock, dark dingy aisles and tiny checkouts. They seemed to have 'forgotten' to include all of these, instead choosing very reasonable prices (just about on par with the city), lots of stock even on 'boutique' items like frozen foods, wide bright aisles and several checkouts with friendly staff. Their deli, as a bonus, outranks most city stores as it includes a lot of local produce. Not saying I'd travel here to shop every week but it's certainly a great choice if you're living or staying or visiting locally and want to pick up some shopping. Well done Foodland Birdwood!
