Foot Physics

David Ferguson is a podiatrist, and i was sent to see him for treatment of my hallux valgus ( bunions!). He explained how and why bunions are formed, and how to minimise any further progression, using conservative measures ( as opposed to radical things like surgery) to address the problem.
He made me two pairs of orthotics, one for my sports shoes, and a pair that were off the rack, but customised to suit my needs.. These fit into fashion shoes.
Essentially what happens is that the orthotics change the shape of the platform you're standing on, and this can relieve pressure on the bunion.
I was very impressed with the service and knowledge, and I've been back once to have a fresh pair of orthotics created.
Fair price when you consider the alternative ( surgery, which has risks).
Great for kids orthotics too.
