Forest Walks Lodge offers eco-accommodation on the edge of the wilderness near Deloraine, northern Tasmania.Forest Walks Lodge is the perfect place to unwind from a busy city lifestyle. It accommodates six guests in three ensuite double bedrooms, with extra bunks for children if required. All meals are provided in-house. Internet is also available.The lodge allows you to immerse yourself in the natural environment. From the lodge you can observe the surrounding mountains, wildlife and the Tasmanian World Heritage area. Step outside and you are only three minutes from the forest itself, or stroll down to the nearby stream. Guided walks depart daily from the lodge, led by people with extensive knowledge of the Tasmanian ecology. You can hire a bicycle and ride to local walking tracks and fishing spots. The historic township of Deloraine is nearby with a variety of craft shops and galleries and an interesting cultural heritage. The lodge is a sustainable building, almost entirely built from local and recycled materials as a solar passive house. All electricity is generated onsite and all waste is processed onsite.
