Great doctors, let down by terrible support staff. You can never get an appointment when you need it and the receptionists really couldn't care less. Very much a "take it or leave it" mentality. When possible I make appointments in advance, but obviously there are occasions when sickness strikes quickly and you would like to be able to see someone. They are not just rude and unhelpful on the phone, but also in person when they obviously have better things to do than deal with patients. I've been going to this practice for over 8 years and if it wasn't for such wonderful doctors I would have given up a long time ago. Such a shame a potentially good practice is let down by the staff who think they run the place.
Having been a patient of the Fox Valley Medical Centre for over 10 years, I have always found the medical reception staff to be courteous, professional and accommodating to patient needs. They work under difficult circumstances in trying to balance heavy Doctor schedules with patient demand, and somehow need to accommodate numerous requests for 'urgent' appointments. In assessing or judging the performance of the medical receptionists, it's important first understand the difficult circumstances under which these people work if one is to pass on qualified feedback.

The Doctors are all fine but the centre is let down by the appalling attitude of the staff. I have been going to the centre for two years and am certain I have never had a smile from anyone at reception. I am always made to feel like they are doing me an enormous favor and not that I am a paying customer (and trust me the charge you!!!). From phoning to make an appointment (phone often not answered) to checking in (ignored whilst they shuffle papers) to paying the bill (snapped at, made to wait while they process fees) etc.
