FRED Eatery is a friendly, fun environment to enjoy a good feed.Located in Aldgate Village in the Adelaide Hills, FRED is the perfect eating house for the local community, passers-by and destination diners.
FRED's approach is to provide fresh, vibrant comfort food utilising locally sourced produce in a welcoming contemporary setting. The FRED menu has a range of options from all day breakfasts, casual lunches, sweet treats, our own house blend coffee and twilight dinners.
FRED the venue offers contemporary, elegant dining areas, courtyard and outdoor tables in addition to our mezzanine lounge & library space and private dining area. FRED's private dining area is ideal for group bookings with tailored menus to suit the occasion.

FRED Eatery Restaurant/Cafe has recently changed hands, was called Aldgate Providore hence the name change to Fred Eatery. There are a number comfortable dining areas, upstairs in the lounge, an alfresco area front and back, with a good area for your pet dog. The table options are good and can be well utilised. The interior is warm and welcoming. On a recommendation from a friend we were told to try the breakfast, we did just that. We both enjoyed a tremendous well prepared breakfast, and as a result we have returned to this Cafe/Restaurant, on a number of occasions. The coffee is good, the service is excellent, they are understandably very busy. Their breakfast could be the Best in the Hills.
On a loverly early summers morning, we decided to go to Fred Eatery in the Adelaide Hills, Aldgate. This is a new modern style Cafe / Restaurant with a fresh green & white decor, blond wooden tables and chairs and parquet flooring, enhanced by glistening tiles and lots of potted plants. Four seperate dining areas, including upstairs and alfresco, provide a wide range of seating and vistas, and interesting ornaments and decorations catch the eye constantly.
We selected from a menu that offered an excellent Early Morning Breakfast, 7.30am - a 11.45am. All Day Breakfast 7.30am - 3pm. Lunch 12noon - 3pm. Truffled Scrambled Eggs, and A Little Of The Lot. Both dishes were of a very generous size, cooked to perfection. Fred's unique custom blended coffee was very smooth and tasty, but not bitter. The service could not be faulted, very friendly, efficient, professional. For us the whole breakfast experience was a delight, and will definitely recommend and return.

This Restaurant/Cafe has recently changed hands, Aldgate Providore hence the name change Fred's Eatery. There are a number dining areas, the front off the Main Street, down the back, upstairs and a tidy well located alfresco area. The table options are good and can be well utilised. The interior is warm and welcoming. We visited and enjoyed a very well made fresh light lunch, along with Freds unique custom blended coffee, very tasty. Even though it was lunch time and the venue was busy, the service was efficient and friendly. They advertise best breakfast in the Hills so must return to experience.
