Five attempts at installing the initial inverter (over the course of a few weeks) before the electricity company, for safety reasons, would sign off on the system's connection to the grid. I would have thought this would have been the companies bread and butter. A Solar installation company that can't correctly wire up a 3kW solar system. I guess I should have seen the warning signs back then, but I didn't. We then had not one, but two faulty inverters. The first faulty unit had a five year warranty and was replaced with a unit that (unknown to us) had only a 3 month warranty and went into a 'terminal fault' failure after only 5 months. Was I really expecting too much by assuming I'd get a 'like for like' replacement on the first faulty unit while it was under warranty?
