Situated along bustling Ann Street in Fortitude Valley, this restaurant offers its own unique take on Modern Australian food. Try the fried lemon pepper calamari, for instance.
The dessert menu is also popular for those who want to satisfy their sweet tooth so well-presented you will not want to touch your plate. Go ahead, treat yourself and order something from the extensive menu.
Meanwhile, the ambience is contemporary yet relaxed. If you are an art lover and supporter of local artists, this is the place for you with a different exhibition each month.
If you’re into desserts you’re going to fall in love with this Brisbane institution. A long, decadent list of sweets — some familiar, others mindboggling — to satisfy even the most jaded sweet tooth. Worst dessert I've ever tasted.
The one I ordered was supposed to be chocolate, comes out with toffee where every other dessert comes out with a huge chocolate shard. The ice cream flavour does't taste like what it's supposed to be and is weaker than flavoured water.
Will never return to such a terrible place who charges $15.90 for disgusting food.
If you have a sweet-tooth, or are not afraid of developing one, you must try Freestyle Tout. They do out-of-this-world amazing desserts, presented in an over-the-top fashion, making a meal out of a dessert. My favourite is the cheesecake but my son loves the Spanish churros. It's almost always busy, so arrive early. A great place to go on a date, take your parents, or as a special reward for yourself or someone else...
This place makes the greatest steaks on this earth. Bar none. Which I suppose is weird for a place that most people think is just for desserts. I would eat everything on the menu, I get anxiety about this much choice. My kids love the Fish and Chips and they have a children's menu with a sundae. Which used to be a make your own sundae, which was great fun for them, but now its just a sundae in a massive glass!
The chips here are also something special. I have been here 8 times in the last 3 months with varying groups of people- and they all love the food.
Service has been varying though, and sometimes you get a little ignored, like when you are desperate for a drink...and they don't notice. Every time I have had to go up and ask.
But with food this amazing I can't complain.
Skip the desserts and go straight for the mains.
