Freeway Hotel

Wow, a pub that is right next door to a freeway. I wander what it’s called – The Freeway Hotel. Gee, give the guy that came up with that name a peanut. Hey, I shouldn’t be too harsh on him, doubt I could’ve come up with anything better. But hey, this place is actually pretty awesome, shame about the amount of time that it actually took me to walk here. I guess it isn’t the pub's fault though. Yeah, that guy behind the bar, he’s pretty awesome, and they even have a heap of craft beers on tap as well. Yeah, I really like this place.

I’ve been going to Freeway Hotel for about a year, the potato mash with the Jager Schnitzel is an excellent meal, and it seemed a friendly, family oriented pub but, I’ve never been more wrong and I won’t be going back, ever again. I went in on Thursday arvo last week for some food and to ask about the entertainment and who organises the bands, I’m in a band and we are looking to get gigs in the area, I figured the Freeway would be perfect, they have bands etc and it’s local and great food, anyway, I walked into the “sports bar” and saw a naked girl in a g-string made out of shoelaces, walking around the tables selling raffle tickets or whatever it was to men, some thrice her age, learing and slobbering all over her, she must have been 18-19 years old. I come here every Friday afternoon/night. It has a great local atmosphere, great bar staff and spacious area, there's also a very enjoyable and fun poker tourament with the locals there.

Drinks are well priced, waitresses always on hand to come around to take drink orders.

The food is exceptionally good here. Can't go past the steaks here, whether it's a rump steak, scotch fillet, or ribeye they're always of the highest quality and cooked perfectly.

Moral of the story, don't judge the book by it's cover. This is a great local pub.

Been here once, and its been pleasant. Will come back again based on the good food and service I received.

Freeway Hotel is a pub / bistro / gaming establishment situated just at the offset of the highway offset, surrounded by industrial businesses all around the suburb. I have only visited this place three times over the course of a few years, with my latest visit being last month, but the place has never changed throughout these times.
