My honest advice is avoid this business or keep all receipts and detailed notes of what they say.
As you can see their response to any negative criticism is to call the customer a liar.
I had my air conditioning repaired their in December 2016. Within a year it broke again. I assumed they would do the right thing and fix the mistake they acknowledged (they told me they verified the system) but instead they wanted to charge me close to 1000 to fix their problem. The issue is I don't trust their work. Especially not enough to pay for it.
I was already going to change mechanics for servicing. I was always left with the impression that all they did was change the oil and performed no inspections.
I had an electrical problem with my car. French Car Care charged me $143 for a scan test they said revealed no issues. The problem persisted so I took it to an auto electrician, who fixed it in half an hour for $69. I complained to Fair Trading, who passed the case to MTAQ, who told me “[We are] not a regulatory body. We are unable to make any judgement calls or rulings.” So it looks like French Car Care will continue to get away with the practice of taking money for nothing. If you enjoy throwing your cash away, take your car to French Car Care – they’ll help you.
Ou company has always had a policy of not allowing our staff to road test vehicles we consider to be unroadworthy - namely tyres that are so bald the teel belts were showing through. We do not make any apolgy for this. Customer in this case was invited to bring his car back for a road test and to complete the scan once he had replaced the two front tyres. He chose not to. End of story
Just letting you know Mike that they have continued to get away with it. I am another victim. Queensland needs an Ombudsman for operators like French Car Care.
This sounds like my negative experience with this company. Cannot recommend.
