Have been for dinner here a few times and both times the food were great! Ordering a few different starters is definitely the way to go as the mains are quite petite in size (good for a small girl like me, but definitely not for the boys).

Crowd's favourite has to be the mussels. The broth is so very more-ish and it's perfect for the bread to soak in. Yum!

Another one of my favourite is the prawn bisque. It's such a rich, bold dish I could just keep going with the sauce and bread.

I recommend getting seated closer to the bar area as being seated outside means it's harder to get the attention of the wait staff. The wait staff also aren't the friendliest - they're just there to do their job (or so the impression gives me), but with good tasting food - I don't really care so much.

It's a nice place for catching up with your girlfriends. They also have a yummy creme brûlée that you can have for dessert (and it cracks when you tap on it!)

The menu was heavy in french terminology. We arrived at 3 and were told food service has stopped and we asked to sit for drinks though we felt rather dismissed. We were told only to sit outside in tables set for two. And drink menus were dropped silently in front of us whilst we spoke. Shortly after the staff returned to tell us we had to order food in order to drink anything because it's Anzac Day. We checked liquor licensing information on the OLGR QLD government website earlier in the day. After 1pm normal liquor trading hours apply. We corrected the staff who went off to check. But already we felt that we had been told no food, yes to drinks. Then yes to drinks but only if we order food. It's very rare that service alone turns me away from anywhere, likewise my friend. I will try to come again in a group and see how the experience travels along. I do love french food.
