Freycinet Lodge
Freycinet Lodge offers four-star accommodation within Freycinet National Park on Tasmania’s east coast. The Lodge overlooks Great Oyster Bay at the foot of pink granite peaks of the Hazard mountain range. To protect the delicate environment, the 60 timber cabins, hidden in the casaurina and tea tree forest, are linked by raised boardwalks. When staying at Freycinet Lodge you have the rare privilege of staying within a national park and the focus is on being in the landscape, so there are no televisions or telephones in the cabins. The Lodge offers two dining options: The Bay à la carte restaurant and Richardsons Bistro, serving cafe-style food. Both offer the finest regional food and wine. Freycinet Lodge is a good base for activities – the famous Wineglass Bay lookout, the Wineglass to Wine Glass signature experience, four-wheel-drive tours, wildlife tours, sea kayaking and more. A tennis court and bicycle hire are also available.Nearby, you can explore a local oyster farm, the seaside villages of Bicheno and Swansea and the acclaimed cool-climate wineries. You can sample the best Tasmanian wines and local produce during a Tasting Tasmania experience at Freycinet Lodge.Seasonal specials may be available. Contact the operator for more ...read more

Freycinet Lodge is a wonderful retreat from the world! Fantastic for romantic getaways, you are assured absolute quiet and privacy. The food was great too. Reception is a walk from the cabin. There is no phone or TV in the cabin but you might make friends with some of the local wildlife! Very well worth the stay. You can enjoy Wineglass bay and Coles Bay and make day trips to Swansea and Bicheno. The beaches are pristine.
