We had phoned around to get some quotes on getting two ceiling fans installed, which all came in around ~$450-$480. Fully Amped quoted us $350 plus parts which we expected to come in around $450 in total.
After the job was done my wife was then handed a bill for just under $700, which she unfortunately paid. After complaining to the management we were offered a $100 rebate.
They didn't sweep up the metal shavings or wire clippings, some of which ended up in our feet, and the holes they drilled for the conduit looks like it was done with an angle grinder...they aren't circular and completely scratched.
Overall I am extremely unhappy with the service and the way they dealt with the price.
I am the owner of Fully Amped Electrical. When we arrived on site we informed the client that the job was going to exceed the estimate. At this stage there was no obligation on the client to let us proceed but they accepted what we said and we continued. This is company policy.
The client called me to query the price and at no stage was there any mention of metal shavings or dissatisfaction with the job. I agreed to refund $100 to get the price down as I was aware that they had obtained other quotes.
Our tradesmen swept and even vacuumed the paving and suggested to the client that they hose down the area, which they agreed to.
Yes, we did scratch the patio and I offered to do a site visit to find a solution to the problem or compensate the client. Mr Hewitt did not bother to respond to my email so unfortunately there is nothing more I can do. I believe we did all we could as a company.
