Hello
My name is Gang Wei (you can pronounce it as Gangway). As a professional photographer, I shoot portraits, family/children, corporate, wedding, events and products.

Photography is a life time passion I have held since childhood. I am a member of the APS (Australian Photographic Society) and an accredited judge by the PSQ (Photographic Society of Queensland). I am also a member of the Mount Gravatt Photographic Society (MGPS) and I have proudly served the club as president for three terms (2012-2015).

In the 9 to 5 world, I was a mechanical engineer and engineering manager for many years. I dedicated a lot of time to ensuring our products remained Australian made, with local design, development and manufacturing. But unfortunately it was a losing battle against our overseas competitors. Within half a year I was made redundant twice. After some miserable time, I decided to take the opportunity to further pursue my photography dream. And hence established Gangway Photography.

While I have a broad interest in photography, my strength is in portraiture and documentary. I love capturing a person?s spirit in their natural way, and I believe this is the most difficult skill for modern photographers to master.

I have won various awards in recent competitions, including 1st place Street Photography 2015 River City Inter-Club Competition and Best Digital Photo of the Year 2015 ? MGPS.

I love what I do and feel very privileged to be able to do this full time. Capturing your memorable moments is my job and customer satisfaction is my promise.
