Reported a blocked toilet. Plumber arrived promptly next day and got to work. Used the "F" word a lot whilst here. Did not check for blockage between the toilet and the septic tank, rather, probed downline of the septic and decided that the problem was caused by "wet ground". Left without achieving any positive result - toilet still blocked.
Reported this to Garry who attended the following day and fixed the blockage between the toilet and septic. When asked why the previous guy didn't do this was told "he didn't have the right equipment!" After his departure, we found the lid to the septic tank and overflow tank had not been replaced.
Received a bill for over a thousand dollars - equating to $295.00 an hour. After contacting the Plumbing Board and other plumbers, decided a fair payment was $40.00 callout fee and $90.00 per hour.
Being charged twice for unsuccessful outcome is not right. Will not use again.
