Gaslight Inn

It was a fun place to go maybe 5 years ago, but the vibes have changed drastically over the years which seems to only attract drunken tourists/older generation who can't handle their drinks, making it super awks for people to chill there. The upstairs is probably their only saviour, always loved their courtyard/outdoor bit.

One of my favourite pubs in Sydney. Nothing flash just a nice, dingy place to enjoy many a beer. Usually head there Fridays after work as it doesn't attract the suit crowd. Used to be kind of trendy but thankfully the so called hipster crowd has moved on too. There is an upstairs section but I rarely venture up there.

My local- this place is cosy and an easy place to make friends with german tourists. The beers are cheap, the seating comfortable and the staff hilarious. The feel of the place is always happy, and I always have an enjoyable evening/early morning when I come here.

Like the Hollywood, the Gaslight Inn is one of the best pubs in Surry Hills. While it might not cater for everyone's taste, its a great place to go for a relaxed drink without any pretentious types lurking about.

This pub gets super packed, and is really pretty standard.
