Gaslight Tavern

I don't think this place has changed in decades. Back when I was young this place was basically an old man's pub, and it pretty much still is an old man's pub. Actually, it is probably more accurate to refer to it as a working class pub. In fact the only thing that seems to have changed since one of my housemates spent his waking hours down here was that you can no longer smoke inside, though they have some benches out the front and a smokers cage out the back. The owner seems to be a bit of a character, though I did get a feeling that this pub may have been a bit of a closed shop. It was okay, but not really all that great. As for beers, there are the basic ones on tap, so don’t expect anything too special.

Gaslight Tavern has karaoke on most saturday nights now hosted by "Mel and the Antman"...we have a good song list, great sound (the pub is geared for live music), an easygoing friendly atmosphere...starts at 8.45pm and goes late...generally with a number of free drink draws and giveaways...friendly staff and great prices with meals available.ALL WELCOME!!
