This venue is better known as The G. It is the local gay bar in Newcastle attracting bois, girls, queers, boys who look like girls, trannys, girls who look like boys, boys and even a few stray but welcome- straight people (hope I didnt miss anyone). Ive been to this venue perhaps more often than I might like to admit and so I can provide a candid review of it. Its got very cheap decent pub meals, a night club section that opens after 10pm or something, a small pokie section (that I doubt I have ever seen anyone in), a designated smoking area outside where a lot of socialising seems to happen and a bar area with a pool table. They have karaoke nights on Friday and Saturday- I have to confess Im not a big fan of the karaoke, but the singers arent usually that bad so it makes it bearable that and the alcohol is so cheap. But all in all I love this pub/ hotel, more so because of the womens pool competition the pub sponsors on Sundays!
