i stayed over the June long weekend, the room was average for the price, neither good or bad, the staff was courteous. but on departure they refused to refund my security deposit on my credit card, now i know that this is a simple transaction, their excuse was that it was a public holiday. it took until Thursday night for the money to be returned to my account, a phone call to them on Wednesday got a promise that they had done the transaction and it was the banks problem, the bank said that hotel had not cancelled the transaction. so despite the OK accommodation, i strongly recommend using a better hotel. to many incorrect statements
Thank you for your feedback Bruce. Our apology for the funds being held against your credit card. A pre-authorisation is a standard procedure accross all hotels, so you will find this anywhere you stay. Usually the pre-authorisation is cancelled when you check out and a transaction is processed, however you did not make use of any facilities available to you therefore there was no transactions to be processed up on check out. As you can see after a call on a Wednesday, the transaction was cleared the next day. We hope to welcome you again to the property and hope that you will try to make use of the facilities and services offered to our guests so that you have a better picture of the hotel and guest service.
stayed over the new years holiday, hotel was empty only a few guests, however instead of spreading the guests apart for privacy and comfort they placed the guests next door to one another, having loud drunken people next door wasn't our ideal romantic night. on top of the that what attracted us to the boutique was the lovely spa ( or so we thought) filled up the spa brown muddy water filled up above the jets! cleaned it up run it again and once again dirty water! what a disgrace! never will we come here again such a disappointing time spent there!

It is unfortunate that you did not make the receptionist aware of the problem as we would have definitely been able to promptly rectify the situation; by moving you to a more private room and ensuring that the spa was satisfactory.
