They colored my hair for my wedding. They didn't listen and i ended up with a horrible color. I called the salon after I settled down to see if I could get my hair coloured the way I wanted it in the first place. They challenged me about the day it took me to ring back and were argumentative. I was extremely upset, now not just the color but the way I was spoken to when I called back to complain. I was offered a recolor which I took up and it cost me a day off work, and still wasn't happy. By this time I couldn't do anything more about it as my hair would not take any more. I wore a wig for my wedding. It now a month after my wedding and i am still disgusted with the color. I have to wait now for it to grow out to have it redone. My suggestion is to take a photo in to show the hairdresser the look you want otherwise you will end up in tears as I was. I will never step foot in a Gaye's salon again
I have gone to see jess for about 4 years she is AMAZING!! I have been blonde, brunette, black and now I am a red head and It looks amazing every time, I am never going to go to another hair dresser, everyone there is so lovely I always have so much fun getting my hair!
Love your salons, but just too expensive! You have lovely staff who do a good job, but I just don't have my hair done with you anymore, as I can get just as good a cut elsewhere for a fairer price.
My very fine short hair takes about 30seconds to blow dry shag finish (after cutting)and I was charged for a half blow dry. You used to do it for free, as it was so quick. That was my last visit. My family and I go elsewhere.
braewood, i do agree with you that Gayes salons are overpriced and charging you for a blow dry seems a bit steap, but in my personal experience it can be very hard to find a good consistent hair dresser.
I have found that at Gayes Brassall salon. I have gone to the same hair dresser at this salon for over 3 years. I also recommended Mel to my partner who is extremely particular about her hair. From then on My partner has never gone anywhere else.
I am of the opinion that sometimes in life you might have to pay a little more for a hair cut at a salon where you feel comfortable and hair dresser that you trust to do a great job everytime.
I also understand that taking a whole family to Gayes would be very expensive. I will continue to spend my money at Gayes Hair Fashion Brassall.
